Designing with LiquidApps®: General Concepts
You will need to understand the following key concepts as you design with LiquidApps®.
Projects
Projects are the base design unit within LiquidApps®.
- Selected Projects are placed in the workspace when starting LiquidApps®; only one workspace is open at a time in the application.
- A single workspace can contain multiple projects.
- All files that you generate are contained within a project.
- Projects can be imported, exported, opened, and closed.
- Projects contain a grouping of screens and associated behaviors.
- You can move within a project by using the Screens view and by clicking on the tabs located in the Project Navigator box.
Create a New Project
The easiest way to create a new project is to use the New Project button in the Screen view. Once you have created a project, it will be available from the dropdown list in the Screens view of the Project Navigator.

- Select the Create a New Project button:
- The New LiquidApps® Project wizard opens. Type the project name in the window and click Finish. This step will create a folder with the project name in the workspace directory. The program opens your new project and automatically creates an initial screen.

Importing and Exporting Projects
LiquidApps® supports file importing for both individual UIML files, and complete projects created in previous versions of LiquidApps®.
