Working in LiquidApps® for the first Time

Opening LiquidApps® for the first time

Once you have installed LiquidApps®, click on the LiquidApps® icon to open the program.

The Workspace Launcher appears, and asks that you specify the directory where your work files will be stored. LiquidApps® stores your project files in a folder called workspace. This launcher allows you to specify the location of your workspace folder. A file path is shown in the window; you can choose this file path or use the Browse button to select another location. Selecting the suggested file path will create a folder called workspace in your home directory (this is usually the Documents and Settings\[user] folder). You can use the check box to select this as the default location, and your project files will be stored here unless you specify otherwise.

Note: If you have used a previous version of LiquidApps®, you must specify a new workspace; do not use your existing workspaces for the new installation. The existing files can be imported into the new version later.

Requesting a License

The first time you open a screen after the installation the Install License screen appears. You should have received a license file with your new version of LiquidApps®, and this file should have installed automatically. If you did not receive a license file, or if you select the button that you have a file, but the program cannot find it, follow these steps:

  • Select "Install License" from the Help Drop-down menu.
  • Click the button beside the "Request a License from Harmonia" option.
  • Click "Next."

The Install License wizard opens asking for valid identifying information. Fill in your name, company, and a reason for your request, and copy and paste the information into an e-mail. Send the e-mail to support@harmonia.com.
